It depends on the size of the roof, how steep it is, how many old layers come off, and the shingle you choose. A townhouse and a large colonial are very different jobs, so we don't quote prices online. Your free inspection ends with a written estimate, so you know the real number before you decide.

Yes. RC Builders LLC is a licensed Maryland home improvement contractor (MHIC License #159256) and is fully insured. We're happy to show you our license and insurance certificate before any work starts.

Yes — that's a big part of what we do. If your roof has storm or wind damage, we inspect it, document the damage with photos, and build the estimate in Xactimate, the same system insurance companies use. We work with you and your adjuster on scope and price from the first inspection through final approval, including supplements when the insurer's first estimate misses damage.

For insurance work, the contract price is the amount your insurer approves; your out-of-pocket cost is your deductible, which is always your responsibility. Insurance payments are issued to you or jointly, and you remit them to us as the work is completed. For upgrades or work not covered by insurance, we may ask for a 50% deposit before starting, with the balance due 3 days after completion. Everything is spelled out in writing in your contract before you sign.

We call you back the same business day to set a time. The inspection is free and exterior-only — roof, plus a look at your ceiling if water has gotten in. You get photos of what we find and a straight answer: if your roof doesn't need work, we'll tell you that too.
